The board of directors recently announced the promotion of Brooke Griggs (pictured below, left) to the position of executive director of Northeastern Indiana CASA. Brooke started as a staff GAL with Northeastern Indiana CASA in January of 2019 and moved into the role of Volunteer Coordinator in April of 2019. Brooke has primarily worked in Whitley County as a supervisor and advocate.
The board also announced Abby Gabet (pictured below, right) as our new volunteer coordinator. Abby has been with CASA as a staff GAL since January of 2019. She has worked mostly in Noble County and Whitley County.
We are excited to see Northeastern Indiana CASA continue to grow and impact the lives of children in the counties we serve...especially now with these two wonderful leaders!
We are all reeling in this time of ever-evolving news and updates regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus has interrupted all of our lives and our daily activities. Here at our office, we have had to adapt as well to this crisis. This meant taking a look at our previously scheduled CASA Palooza.
With the state-mandated closures and the uncertainty of when these mandates may lift, we have decided to postpone Palooza until Thursday, Sept. 10th. at Sylvan Cellars.
Tickets will go on sale at the end of July so stay tuned!

Appreciation given to our
amazing volunteers
April 19th through the 25th was National Volunteer Appreciation Week. While the stay-at-home order kept us from actually getting our volunteers together to show our appreciation, we spent the week giving lots of shout outs to our volunteers through social media. We also put together this great little video to showcase our wonderful volunteers.
