Volunteers equipped to benefit children
Recently, CASA volunteers gathered for spring training sessions to become more knowledgeable and equipped to advocate for children.
CASA provides a voice for powerless children involved in judicial proceedings; advocates for their best interests; and strives to improve their circumstances and quality of life. As part of volunteer requirements, the training is one of several facets to the volunteer process.
In addition to an application process, volunteers attend a minimum of 30 hours for initial training, and 12 hours of annual continuing education thereafter.
