New staff members join CASA
ALBION — Two new faces recently joined the team of staff members at Northeastern Indiana CASA.
“We are excited to welcome Erin and Megan to our team,” said Volunteer Coordinator Abby Gabet. “They are a great addition to our office and very passionate about how they will contribute to our mission.”
Erin Conley joined Northeastern Indiana CASA as a staff guardian ad litem (GAL) in July. She has been working cases in Whitley and LaGrange counties. Conley graduated from Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne with her bachelor’s degree in human services with a concentration in family and children. Prior to her position with CASA, Conley was a registered behavioral technician at Child’s Play Autism Center. “I’ve always had a passion for working with children and bettering the lives of those I work with,” says Conley. “My love for helping families and children continues to grow and I’m very excited for my role as a CASA GAL.”
Megan Swaidner joined Northeastern Indiana CASA as an administrative assistant in August. Prior to working at CASA, Swaidner was a registered behavior technician, then a program assistant, at Child’s Play Autism Center. Megan graduated from Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne, where she obtained a triple minor in psychology, sociology, and human services. “I am passionate about helping children and serving the community through the CASA program,” said Swaidner.
Northeastern Indiana CASA provides court-appointed advocates for children involved in judicial proceedings. Community members from DeKalb, Lagrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley counties volunteer their time to be an advocate, working with children to be a voice for them and their best interests in the courtroom.
