Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Dave

Watch the video to hear Dave share his journey with CASA! Dave Sanders has been a CASA volunteer in Noble County since January of 2019. In this video, he talks about his most meaningful memory as a CASA and how his role has impacted not only the lives of the children he’s served but also his own.

About Dave: Dave is married with 5 children and 17 grandchildren. Dave’s 3rd child had Down Syndrome and passed away after having heart surgery when he was just 11 months old. His children kept him and his wife very busy, from band, scouting, academic bowls, and sporting events. His children later went off to college at Notre Dame, IU, Wabash, and Ohio Northern. Dave is very proud of his children and after nearly 30 years of college, they became a medical doctor, Pharmacist, and a PhD.

Dave has done a lot of traveling, both inside and outside of the US for work and to watch his children. He was a coach for a basketball team at the YMCA, and NASA soccer. Dave stated the most amazing event he has experienced in his life was when he and his wife were given the privilege of being a "Hugger" at the International Special Olympics.
