Northeastern Indiana CASA: A Year in Review

As we reflect on 2024, Northeastern Indiana CASA has had an incredible year, filled with milestones, growth, and successes that have brought us closer to our mission of advocating for children in need. From welcoming new volunteers to hosting unforgettable events, here's a look back at some of our key moments:

New Faces and Growth: 2024 has been a year of exciting growth for our organization, marked by the addition of incredible talent to our team.

Emily Musi joined us in June as our new Staff Guardian Ad Litem (GAL). Emily's unwavering dedication and passion for advocacy are already making a meaningful impact on the children and families we serve.

In September, we welcomed Lori Blackburn as our Development Director. Lori brings a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to our fundraising efforts, ensuring we can continue to expand our reach and deepen our impact.

Rounding out our new team members, Erica Pearson started as our Administrative Assistant in October. Erica's organizational skills and attention to detail are invaluable in keeping our operations running smoothly.

We’re excited about the contributions each of these exceptional individuals is bringing to our mission and the brighter future they help us create for those we serve.

Additionally, we welcomed seven new volunteers to our CASA family:

Kristen Lamm
Gary Stout
Jana Fuller
Candice Holbrook
Angela Steele
Julie Roth
Tatum Moore

Each of these dedicated individuals has committed to advocating for children throughout judicial proceedings, and we are excited to see the positive changes they’ll bring to the lives of those we serve.

Exciting Events: This year’s events were a testament to the generosity and support of our community.

  • Annual Golf Outing: Our annual golf outing, held on Saturday, September 7th at Garrett Country Club, brought together 11 teams of four, all supporting our mission. Funds raised at the event will directly support our work advocating for children throughout the judicial system. Mark your calendars—our 2025 golf outing is already scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Garrett Country Club. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a great day of golf while making a difference in the lives of children. If you’re interested in sponsoring our 2025 outing, please reach out to us at (260) 636-6101.

  • CASA Palooza: Our signature fundraising event, CASA Palooza, was an overwhelming success. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised an impressive $53,000! These funds will help us continue to provide crucial advocacy and support to children in need throughout our region.

  • Save the Date for CASA Palooza 2025: We’re already looking ahead to next year and we hope you can join us for CASA Palooza 2025 on Friday, April 25, 2025! Mark your calendars for an evening of fun, fundraising, and community support as we continue to advocate for children in need. If you’re interested in sponsoring our 2025 CASA Palooza, please contact us at (260) 636-6101 to learn more!

As we reflect on all that we’ve accomplished in 2024, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers, staff, board members, donors, and community partners. Your support makes all the difference in the lives of the children we serve.

We look forward to another impactful year ahead as we continue to advocate for the most vulnerable children in our communities.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for your continued support!
