CASA and DCS: A Collaborative Partnership

This video demonstrates how DCS and CASA can collaborate effectively to support the best interests of the child, even when their case recommendations differ.

Northeast Indiana CASA recently participated in a valuable session at the Kendallville Community Learning Center, focused on fostering collaboration between CASA volunteers and the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS).

Speakers Rae Feller, Indiana State GAL/CASA Director, and Kelly Bray, Indiana GAL/CASA Program Manager, emphasized the importance of respectful communication and information sharing. The event highlighted how these practices contribute to achieving the shared goal of permanency and the best outcomes for children and families in CHINS cases.

This session underscored the power of partnership in advocating for the well-being of children in our community.
